Hytale – All Workbenches & How to Craft Them
Before you can craft advanced stations, you must first create the classic Workbench. This is the foundation for unlocking every other workbench in Hytale.
How to Craft the Classic Workbench (Required)
- Open your Inventory (Tab)
- Go to Pocket Crafting
- Select Workbench (do not select Builder’s Workbench)
- Required materials:
- 4× Any Tree Trunk
- 3× Any Stone
- Craft it, place it anywhere, and you’re ready to unlock all other workbenches
All Workbenches in Hytale
Furnace
- Use: Smelts ores into metal bars
- Upgrades: Faster smelting, more storage
- Recipe:
- 6× Any Tree Trunk
- 6× Any Stone
Armorer’s Workbench
- Use: Crafts basic armor
- Recipe:
- 2× Copper Ingot
- 10× Any Tree Trunk
- 5× Any Stone
Blacksmith’s Anvil
- Use: Crafts basic weapons
- Recipe:
- 2× Copper Ingot
- 10× Any Tree Trunk
- 5× Any Stone
Tanning Rack
- Use: Turns raw hides into leather
- Upgrades: Faster processing, more storage

How to Upgrade Workbench to Tier 2
Upgrading your classic Workbench unlocks advanced crafting stations and powerful gear.
Required materials:
- 30× Copper Ingot
- 20× Iron Ingot
- 20× Linen Scraps
Tier 2 Unlocks:
- Quick-craft recipes for all weapons (Daggers, Bows, Arrows, Hammers)
- Stronger Pickaxes and Hatchets
- Access to Salvager’s, Alchemist’s, and Arcanist’s Workbenches
Final Notes
- You must craft the classic Workbench first to unlock everything else
- There are 10+ workbenches in total, each serving a unique role
- Upgrading early speeds up progression, mining, and combat efficiency
Once your Workbench is placed, Hytale’s full crafting system opens up; this is where the real building begins.
