Evomon Tier List – Best Starter Ranking

All three starters in Evomon are capable of completing the game, but if your goal is to progress as quickly and efficiently as possible, one option stands above the rest.

  • 1. Bubble (Water) – Best Starter Overall
    • Widely considered the strongest starter for early-game progression.
    • Verdant Valley, the first major area, is filled with Rock and Ground-type enemies.
    • Water attacks deal super-effective damage against most enemies you’ll encounter during the opening hours.
    • Can defeat the first Island Boss, a Rock-type construct, much more easily than the other starters.
    • Performs well against many early World Bosses that use Fire or Rock attributes.
    • Lets you reach later islands faster thanks to its strong early-game matchups.
  • 2. Blazpup (Fire) – Second Best Starter [ATK Focused]
    • Features some of the highest offensive stats among the starter choices.
    • Deals excellent neutral damage even when type advantages are not in play.
    • Scales very well into later areas that contain Bug and Grass-type enemies.
    • Ideal for players who prefer an aggressive playstyle.
    • Has a more difficult start because many early enemies resist or counter its strengths.
    • You may need to catch an additional Water-type Evomon to help with early bosses.
  • 3. Leafbun (Grass) – Third Best Starter [DEF Focused]
    • Focuses on survivability and utility rather than raw damage.
    • Gains access to healing abilities and status effects early on.
    • Higher defensive stats make it more forgiving during difficult battles.
    • Can wear down opponents through poison, sleep, and sustained healing.
    • Progresses slower in the early game because of the large number of Rock-type enemies in Verdant Valley.
    • Best suited for players who enjoy a more tactical and methodical battle style.

Final Recommendation: Choose Bubble if you want the easiest and fastest start. Its strong matchup against the first island’s enemies and bosses makes it the best overall starter for most players. Blazpup is a solid alternative for players focused on damage, while Leafbun is better for those who prefer defensive and strategic gameplay.
