Mutations are one of the strongest ways to increase fruit value in Grow a Garden 2. Each fruit can only have one mutation at a time, and they significantly multiply the final income. Most mutations come from weather events, while a few can appear randomly or through pets and special seeds.

How Mutations Work in GaG 2

• Each fruit can only have one mutation at a time (no stacking).
• Gold and Rainbow can appear naturally outside of events.
• Most powerful mutations require specific weather events.

Weather Events & Mutation Farming

• Lightning Event → Electric (x70)
• Snowfall Event → Frozen (x5)
• Starfall Event → Starstruck (x25)

Best strategy is to keep crops ready before events start so as many plants as possible can mutate at once.

How to Increase Mutation Chances

• Use Sprinklers
  • Increase mutation chances during growth
  • Best when placed across multiple crops
• Use Pets
  • Some pets boost mutation chances
  • Unicorn can directly apply Rainbow mutation without events
• Use Event Seeds
  • Event seeds have higher mutation probability than normal seeds
  • Best used during weather farming cycles
