How to Get Moon Cut Sword in Broken Blade
Moon Cut is a powerful 4-Star Katana found on Nidavellir Island and is considered one of the best weapons for Katana users during the mid-to-late game. Unlocking it is a long grind that requires huge amounts of Money, Gems, crafting materials, and rare Moon Pieces. The biggest challenge is collecting Moon Pieces, which only drop from the Moraros Boss with a low 8% drop rate.
You can find the Moon Cut sword directly in front of the Boss Arena entrance on Nidavellir Island. Once you gather all of the required materials, interact with the weapon to unlock it.
To craft Moon Cut, you will need:
- 1,500,000,000 Money
- 5,052,010 Gems
- 5,000 Katana Piece I
- 2,500 Katana Piece II
- 1,000 Katana Piece III
- 10,000 Fire Seeds
- 100 Moon Pieces
The order of your farming route matters a lot. Going straight to Moraros without preparing first will make the grind much longer. Follow these steps for the most efficient route.
- Step 1 – Getting Started
- Try to roll Mythical-tier Element, Race, and Blessing bonuses.
- Obtain the Light Scar weapon and upgrade it with Diamonds.
- Upgrading Light Scar significantly increases your damage and makes boss farming much faster.
- Step 2 – Get the Godblade Forger Title
- Travel back to the First World.
- Locate the Forge and craft a Stone Cleaver.
- Craft Stone Cleaver 100 times.
- After your 100th craft, you automatically unlock the Godblade Forger title.
- Equip this title before farming because it grants a valuable +30% Luck bonus, improving your chances of getting rare drops.
- Step 3 – Fight Velik Boss for Boss Keys
- Head to the Velik Boss and enable Auto Attack.
- Velik can be farmed completely AFK.
- The boss drops Boss Keys along with materials and Epic-to-Mythical chests.
- Farm until you have at least 1,500 Boss Keys saved up.
- This amount gives you enough attempts to account for bad luck while farming Moon Pieces.
- Step 4 – Fight Moraros for Moon Pieces
- Travel to Nidavellir Island and interact with the Boss Summoner.
- Set it to Auto Summon Moraros on Hard Mode.
- Each summon costs 5 Boss Keys.
- Enable your weapon ability’s Auto Mode so the process runs continuously.
- Every Moraros kill has an 8% chance to drop a Moon Piece.
- You will usually need around 300 attempts to collect all 100 Moon Pieces, although your actual results may vary depending on luck.
Moon Cut works especially well with the Vanir and Elf races because of their weapon-specific damage bonuses. Once you finish collecting all of the materials and 100 Moon Pieces, return to the Moon Cut sword on Nidavellir Island and unlock one of the strongest Katanas available in Broken Blade.
