Jujutsu Zero Black Flash Guide
Black Flash was added to Jujutsu Zero in the May 2nd update, and it’s one of the strongest combat techniques you can unlock early. It adds extra burst damage, mobility, and works well in almost every game mode. While the timing mechanic takes practice, it becomes extremely useful once mastered.
Unlocking Black Flash is simple and only requires Yen and access to the NPC.
How to Get Black Flash
- Go to Jujutsu Tech/Jujutsu High.
- Climb to the top of the wooden building.
- Talk to the Black Flash I NPC.
- Pay 250,000 Yen to learn the technique.
- Once purchased, Black Flash is permanently added to your kit automatically.
If you do not have enough Yen yet, repeat easier quests and missions around the map to farm money quickly. The unlock cost is fixed, so it usually does not take too long to save up.
How Black Flash Works
- Black Flash deals normal damage along with a percentage of the enemy’s max HP.
- The move requires precise timing to activate properly.
- Missing the timing window will fail the activation.
- It can be used in every game mode once unlocked.
How to Use Black Flash on PC
- Press the left mouse button (M1).
- Two timing icons will appear one after another.
- Press the right mouse button (M2) as each icon appears.
- If both inputs are timed correctly, Black Flash activates successfully.
Timing is the most important part on PC. Pressing M2 too early or too late will cancel the activation, so expect a bit of practice before consistently landing it.
How to Use Black Flash on Mobile
- Press and hold M1 until a black icon appears above your HP bar.
- Tap the first icon immediately.
- A second icon will appear right after.
- Tap the second icon quickly to activate Black Flash.
Black Flash is slightly harder to use on mobile because the timing window feels tighter compared to PC controls.
How to Upgrade Black Flash
- Successfully perform Black Flash 1,000 times.
- The activations can be done anywhere and do not need to be during combat.
- After reaching 1,000 successful uses, go to the center area of the map.
- Find and talk to the Black Flash II NPC.
- This unlocks the upgraded version that increases both damage and percentage damage.
The upgraded version is much stronger against bosses and tankier enemies because the percentage-based damage becomes more effective on high HP targets.
