Fishing in Kaizen is a great way to earn Cursed Essences, Yen, and useful consumable buffs. You can catch various fish and materials across the world, which can then be consumed for temporary boosts, sold for rewards, or used to unlock better fishing rods.
If you’re just getting started, here’s everything you need to know about fishing in Kaizen.
- Where to Fish
- You can fish anywhere that has a body of water and a dock.
- Simply equip a Fishing Rod and interact with a fishing spot to begin fishing.
- Several docks and portal areas, such as Jujutsu High, contain Fisherman NPCs where you can buy supplies and upgrade your gear.
- How to Get Rods and Baits
- Both Fishing Rods and Baits are obtained from the Fisherman NPC.
- Baits can be purchased using Yen and restock every hour.
- Most Fishing Rods have special unlock requirements, such as catching specific fish or holding certain items in your inventory.
- Required Fish and Materials must remain in your inventory. Selling or consuming them will reset your progress toward unlocking the rod.
- What to Do With Fish and Materials
- All fish are stored in your Fishing inventory category.
- Fish can be consumed to gain various buffs for your character.
- Fish can be sold to the Fisherman in exchange for Cursed Essences.
- Other collected objects can be sold for Yen.
