The Forge Armor Guide

Armor is the backbone of survivability in The Forge. While weapons decide how fast you can clear enemies, armor determines how long you can stay in the fight and how reliably you can tank for a group. Every armor piece you forge comes from melted ores, and each belongs to one of three categories—Light, Medium, and Heavy. These types influence how much Health you gain, how rare each piece is, and how much gold you earn if you decide to sell it. By mixing pieces from different sets, you can balance durability, rarity, and profit depending on whether you’re aiming for protection or income.

Health: Health represents the percentage increase added directly to your base HP. A piece with +5% Health simply boosts your total base health by 5% when worn. Helmets usually roll the highest bonus, followed by leggings, with chestplates trailing slightly behind. Stacking several high-roll pieces can create a tanky build even without heavy armor.

Chance: Chance shows the rarity of a specific piece inside its armor category. A 1/3 chance means that, on average, one in three rolls for that category will produce that exact piece. This system affects how quickly you can complete sets and explains why some pieces appear far more often than others.

Base Price: Base Price is the gold you gain for selling the item. Light armor sells for the least, medium armor sits in the middle, and heavy armor pieces offer the best payout. Players who forge primarily for profit often lean toward high-value heavy pieces, even if they don’t plan to wear them.

Light Armor (cheap, easy to forge, low health bonuses)

  • Light Helmet – +3.75% Health | Chance 1/1 | 65$
  • Light Chestplate – +5% Health | Chance 1/1 | 225$
  • Light Leggings – +4.375% Health | Chance 1/1 | 112.5$

Medium Armor (balanced health, solid pricing)

  • Medium Helmet – +6.25% Health | Chance 1/1 | 335$
  • Medium Chestplate – +8.75% Health | Chance 1/1 | 850$
  • Medium Leggings – +7.5% Health | Chance 1/1 | 485$
  • Samurai Helmet – +8% Health | Chance 1/2 | 335$
  • Samurai Chestplate – +12.75% Health | Chance 1/2 | 850$
  • Samurai Leggings – +9% Health | Chance 1/2 | 485$

Heavy Armor (high health, best selling price)

  • Knight Helmet – +12.5% Health | Chance 1/1 | 1020$
  • Knight Chestplate – +16.25% Health | Chance 1/1 | 1355$
  • Knight Leggings – +13.75% Health | Chance 1/1 | 1200$
  • Dark Knight Helmet – +18.75% Health | Chance 1/2 | 1020$
  • Dark Knight Chestplate – +25% Health | Chance 1/2 | 1355$
  • Dark Knight Leggings – +21.875% Health | Chance 1/2 | 1200$

Choosing the right mix comes down to your goals—Light for affordability, Medium for balance, and Heavy for tanking and gold-making.

So that’s it for now in this post on The Forge Armor Guide.
