Quincy progression in VV Ultimatum begins at level 25, when you receive the Soldat Cap. From there, your main path is to complete Lieutenant missions, turn them in properly, and keep moving through each milestone until you unlock your Schrift.
Quincy is one of the more beginner-friendly races because the progression flow is clear. You start with missions, move into the Sanrei Glove step, then work toward Letzt Stil, and finally finish the chain by defeating Securis in the Arctic Plains.
Quincy Progression Milestones in VV Ultimatum
- Soldat Cap
- Unlocked at level 25.
- Sanrei Glove
- Unlocked after completing enough Lieutenant missions.
- You then need to craft it using the required materials.
- Evolved Spirit Weapon
- Granted after more Lieutenant mission progress.
- Letzt Stil
- Unlocked after more missions and meditation steps with the Sanrei Glove.

- Unlocked after defeating Securis in the Arctic Plains.
How Quincy Progression Works in VV Ultimatum
Your main progression tool is the Lieutenant. Press L to open the mission board and take missions from him. Each mission has a star rating from 1 to 3, and the higher the star rating, the more progress it gives.
- Complete the mission assigned by the Lieutenant.
- Return to him after finishing.
- Choose Report Task to turn it in and receive progression EXP.
- Keep repeating this loop until the next milestone appears.
There is a 5-minute cooldown between missions, so the fastest way to progress is to pick quick missions, finish them efficiently, and wait out the timer before taking the next one. Do not choose Get New Task after a mission, since that resets the cooldown and wastes time.
The Lieutenant’s dialogue also tells you how far along you are:
- “The job’s still not done yet” means you still need more missions.
- “You’re getting close” means you are nearing the next step.
- “The higher-ups will be happy… Report later for more tasks” means the mission step is complete.
How to Get the Sanrei Glove in VV Ultimatum
After numerous lieutenant missions, you will be told to obtain the Sanrei Glove. To get it, travel to the Wandenreich and find the NPC who sells the recipe. The recipe costs 300 Soul Tokens.
Once you have the recipe, you also need the crafting materials below:
- Broken Quincy Medallion
- Dropped by lance-throwing NPCs in the Wandenreich.
- Can also drop from the Legion boss.
- Frost Alloy
- A crafted material made from multiple components.
- 2 Strange Essences
- Dropped from light blue Hollow variants.
Once equipped, the Sanrei Glove changes your L key into a meditation command. This is an important step in moving toward Letzt Stil.
How to Get Strange Essence in VV Ultimatum
Strange Essence drops from light blue Hollows that appear around the map. They are easy to spot because they look different from normal Hollows.
- The most efficient farming zone is the waterfall near spawn in Society Outskirts.
- Walk out from spawn and head to the waterfall.
- Go inside it and farm the guaranteed Hollow spawn there.
- These Hollows can drop Strange Essence when defeated.
How to Get Frost Alloy in VV Ultimatum
Frost Alloy is not a single drop. It has to be crafted first using three materials:
- Frost Deviant Shard
- Dropped by Rogue Quincy Archers near the AirWalk tower.
- These Archers wear red hats, red outfits, and carry bows.
- Great Soul Essence
- Made by combining 5 regular Soul Essences.
- Regular Soul Essences drop from Hollows in the Outskirts.
- Spirit Alloy
- Buy it from the merchant inside Arctic Town.
How to Get the Broken Quincy Medallion in VV Ultimatum
This is usually the hardest part of Quincy progression. There are two ways to get the Broken Quincy Medallion, and both can take some effort.
- Method 1: Rogue Quincy Commander
- Spawns in Arctic Plains near the large gate at the entrance.
- He moves around the map and comes with a group of Quincy soldiers.
- If you defeat him, the Broken Quincy Medallion is a guaranteed drop.
- Method 2: Rogue Quincy Archers
- The same red-hat Archers used for Frost Deviant Shards can also drop the medallion.
- The drop rate is very low, estimated at around 1% or less.
How Letzt Stil Works in VV Ultimatum
After you get the Sanrei Glove, continue doing lieutenant missions. At a later milestone, the lieutenant will ask you to meditate with the glove equipped.
- You usually need about 3 to 5 meditations.
- 70 Max Reiatsu is the point where this step is expected to work.
- Use the Sanrei Glove, meditate, let the Reiatsu drain, recover, and repeat.
- Keep alternating between meditating and mission progress until the lieutenant confirms advancement.
At one stage, your Reiatsu bar will stop dropping all the way down. That is a sign that your Reiatsu control is improving. When the lieutenant starts hinting that you need stronger enemies and more experience, you should switch to fighting NPCs to push the progression forward.
Once the stage is complete, Letzt Stil becomes available. After that, you can collect Reishi beyond your normal limit, and using Letzt Stil in combat also restores HP, which is very helpful later on.
How to Get Your Schrift in VV Ultimatum
After Letzt Stil, the lieutenant will presumably assign you a final mission centered around a Shinigami threat in the Arctic Plains. This leads to the Securis boss fight.
- Securis is a solo boss fight.
- You cannot bring other players into the fight.
- He has a learnable attack pattern.
- He becomes much easier once you understand his moves.
- Using Letzt Stil during the fight helps because it restores HP.
After defeating Securis, return to the Lieutenant and complete a few more missions. At that point, the missions are usually 2-star or 3-star, so pick the easiest ones available. If possible, choose Menos Grande missions since they are simple by this stage.
When the Lieutenant says that you have fully understood the power and no longer need the glove to reach it, your Schrift is unlocked. You also receive 5 rerolls on first unlock, which gives you a few chances at a stronger Schrift right away.
Important Schrift Note
- If progression is done properly, Schrift is typically attained around levels 69 to 70.
- You can use your Schrift ability without being in Letzt Stil mode.
- Hold Control with your weapon out to activate it.
Best Stat Focus for Quincy in VV Ultimatum
Quincy has only 100 skill points, so spreading points across too many stats usually hurts your build. It is better to focus on one main direction instead of trying to cover everything at once.
- Reserves
- Increases Reiatsu pool.
- This is the most important stat for Quincy progression.
- Potency
- Raises damage output.
- Best as a high-priority offensive stat.
- Haze
- Reduces skill cooldowns.
- Good for builds that rely heavily on abilities.
- Posture
- Increases maximum posture.
- Useful in some situations, but not a main priority for most players.
- Sho
- Improves movement speed and shunpo stamina.
- Full Sho builds exist, but they are more niche than other setups.
