In this post, I have shared a beginner’s guide for the ZeptoLab’s mobile game Idle Art.
Idle Art: The Basics
In the ZeptoLab’s mobile game Idle Art, you play as a museum director and operate your very own art museum. Your goal is to scale it and make more money. Draw more visitors, hire artists, put valuable artistic paintings on the wall, add more galleries, and get rich.
How To Play
Idle Art is easy to play. Get started by tapping the painting slot (the + button in the gallery), and customize the art if you want (you can choose your colors or tap the random button for a quick result). Per the current update, I don’t think the colors used in the art impact the earnings. After you tap the finish button, the art will be put on the wall, and coins will be generated per visitor. The visitors visit the gallery frequently. Collect the coins by tapping the bubble message above the paintings.
How To Generate More Income From The Arts
In Idle Art, players can upgrade the paintings with coins—the earnings increase with each upgrade or the next level. Tap the painting and then spend the coins to make an upgrade – keep making the upgrades, and you will eventually earn a star. To unlock the next location in Idle Art, you must collect the stars. In the top-left corner of the game screen, you can see the number of stars you can earn in the current location. Once you collect all, the new location will unlock. You unlock new artists, galleries, and more features with new locations.
- NOTES: Save coins, make upgrades, make more money, repair new galleries, and unlock new painting slots to generate more income. You can also upgrade the galleries (tap the arrow/upgrade button ⇑ and spend the coins) – upgrading galleries will draw more visitors and generate revenue faster than before.
Artists
As you progress through the game, you will unlock new artists you can hire to create new art designs. Each new art design you unlock will generate more revenue than the earlier one. For example, Leo D.V.’s paintings generate more coins than Picasso, Munch, J.W., and Mondrian.
Quick Tips For Idle Art Beginners
Once you select an art design, you can not undo it – so when you tap the + button and get to choose/customize the painting, choose the artist wisely. As I have mentioned above, the earnings from the paintings are heavily impacted by the creator/artist. On the customization screen, use the arrow keys to switch between the artists/paintings.
Don’t forget to collect the coins. When a visitor visits the gallery, you earn coins. Tap the bubble message above the painting to collect the coins. Each slot can hold a certain amount of coins, and if you don’t collect the coins and it has already reached the max threshold, you will not earn any coins.
Upgrade the paintings to increase income and store more coins at a given time. Upgrade the galleries to draw more visitors and frequently. Max out all the paintings, unlock all the slots, upgrade the galleries to max level, and accumulate all the stars. Once you have all the stars, a new location with a new artist will unlock. Each new artist you unlock brings more revenue than the earlier one.

Currently, there are no cheats available for Idle Art.
