Fisch Merlin’s Orb Recovered Update
Summary: Merlin has regained the power of his Magic Orb, unlocking stronger buffs, new crafting options, and a crucial role for entering the new Mineshaft area. A Totem Carver NPC has arrived with free-to-make totems, Twisted Relics have been introduced as a new enchantment-and-curse item class, the Black Market has returned with new items, and a massive wave of bug fixes and balancing adjustments has been deployed.

• Merlin’s Orb Recovered
- Merlin has fully restored the energy of his Magic Orb.
- Can now offer stronger, upgraded buffs.
- Gains new crafting abilities to create items using magic.
- Becomes a required NPC for entering the Mineshaft.
• Totem Carver (New NPC)
- Craft totems for free if you have the required materials.
- Moves into the world after Merlin opens access to others.
- May expand with more recipes later.
• Twisted Relics (New Relic Type)
- Sold exclusively by Merlin.
- Provides mixed enchantments combined with curses.
- Designed as high-risk, high-reward relic upgrades.
• New Mineshaft Area
- Features three interactable objects:
- A rough geode needing excavation(spear the rubble for rough geode)
- A fast minecart carrying a cut gemstone(pull the lever at the right time to divert the minecart for a rough gem)
- A pulsating crystal inside the water.
- Explore to uncover the origins of Past, Present, and Future gemstones.
- Merlin will request a key item from this area for progression.
• Black Market Returns
- Three new items added to the rotation.
- Will not run on Friday again due to a known issue.
• Major Bug Fixes & Balancing
- Numerous stability and gameplay issues resolved.
- Private servers can now skip event surges:
- Shiny Surge, Mutation Surge, Night of the Luminous, Night of the Fireflies.
- Crab Cages:
- Stackable again in caverns.
- Faster placement.
- No longer fail guaranteed catches.
- Reduced frequency of Gameplay Paused interruptions.
- Improved Perfect Cast detection.
- Fixes for Radio item interactions.
- Corrected rod issues:
- Vineweaver Rod +10% Forced Progress Speed fixed.
- Toxic Spire Rod “paralysis” passive repaired.
- Carrot Rod’s 15% mutation chance restored.
- Daily Shop now resets exactly at 0:00 UTC.
- Resolved interaction issues between rod passives and chaser fish.
- Fixed visuals for Upside-Down mutation on multiple fish.
- Console virtual cursor no longer equips multiple items at once.
- Ancient & Phantom Megalodon hunts now announce correctly.
- Colossal Dragon Hunt overlap removed.
- Fixed purchase prompt on Luminescent Oath.
- Softlock fixed in Doubloon pool with several rods.
- Corrected miscounting of certain Apex fish.
- Nate’s Blade no longer sticks during minigame.
- Adjusted price of Heaven’s Rod.
- Corrected weight boost on Rod of the Forgotten Fang passive.
- Fixed Anomalous enchantment skipping mutation on Regionless fish.
- Black Market stock now refreshes only after version updates.
- Black Markets only start after the weekly version update.
- Balancing changes:
- Bubblegum 4x → 2x
- Lumpy 4x → 2x
- Rockstar 4x → 2x
- Speed Core rarity & value adjusted
- Baby Pond Emperor rarity & value adjusted
