What are modifications in Roblox DIG?

To increase the selling value of items or change their size or appearance, you’ll need modifications. When you dig in the game, there’s a chance you’ll find items with modifications already applied. Alternatively, you can visit the Appraiser NPC in Fox Town. She can tell you an item’s value and, for a fee of $300, will appraise any item you bring her. Appraising an item will reroll its age and modifications, making it as if you’ve just dug it up again.

Items can only have one modification and one attribute at a time, along with the possibility of having the special Shiny modification.

Abilities granted by certain Shovels and Enchantments can increase your chances of finding items with specific modifications.

There are three main types of item modifications you can find when digging:

• Natural modifications (marked as “Appraisable”) have a base 8% chance to appear on any item you dig up.
• Size attributes have a base 18% chance to appear.
• The Shiny attribute is rare, with only a 1% base chance.

You can only have one modification and one attribute per item at a time, but you can also get the Shiny attribute in addition to these.

If you want to change or reroll modifications, visit the Appraiser NPC in Fox Town. For a $300 fee, she’ll appraise your item, rerolling its age and modifications as if you’d just found it.

There are also four special modifications that can only be obtained from unique admin-spawned weather events or conditions. These exclusive modifications are not available through normal gameplay and cannot be acquired by any other means.
