Wish Upon a Cat is a short adventure game where you chase a mischievous cat that has been leaping across dimensions and throwing different worlds into chaos. As you travel through familiar locations from Odencat games like Bear’s Restaurant and Meg’s Monster, you’ll meet returning characters, uncover the mystery behind the cat’s actions, and work to restore balance before it’s too late. Along the way, you’ll also discover what the runaway feline truly wishes for—and decide what your wish will be.
Wish Upon A Cat Walkthrough
The game begins in an apartment room. You can move your character with just a tap. The spawn point has three objects; a gift box in the corner, the phone on your bed, and the diary on your table. Go through the diary/journal pages to get started. Then go to the computer and look up Odencat. After this, a cutscene comes and you find yourself asleep on the terrace. A mouse comes out of the hole and wakes you up. Go chase it down and enter the hole indicated by an arrow. The talking mouse you meet is trying to find the cat that’s causing the trouble. Agree to help the mouse chief and chase the cat. Don’t forget to get the game cartridge from the mouse’s base when you are finished conversing with the mouse. Leave the mouse’s base and enter the room indicated by an arrow. You will end up in another dimension where you have to chase the cat.
Go to the right-hand side. You find a hot spring. Go straight to the next scene. The cat is hiding behind the snowman near the house. But you can’t interact with it. First, talk to the snowman with a red bucket on. Agree to bring hot spring water and you will get a bucket. Go back to the previous scene and fill up the bucket. Return to the snowman and give it hot water. As a reward, you receive the bucket. Fill it again and return to the snowman scene. This time, dump the water on the snowman near the house.
Talk to the cat and begin the next chase as it runs away again. Go back to the starting point of the dimension, don’t forget to look around for the snowman cartridge.
Enter Room 102 indicated by an arrow. Go straight, pass the door, and talk to the monster on the right. It is looking for a soccer ball to play with. Enter the next door and talk to the girl. Ask if you can borrow the ball. You need to play with her first (Pictionary). Answer “Roy”. You receive the ball. Return to the previous scene and talk to the monster again. Give it the ball, agree to play, and kick “hard.” The ball hits the signboard hard and the cat comes out of the bushes.
The cat runs away again, this time to room 202. While returning to the apartment from the monster scene, don’t forget to look around in all the scenes and get the game cartridge (Meg’s Monster).
Enter the next dimension. Go to the right where Bear’s Restaurant is and talk to the Black guy on the stairs looking for a despair shard. Next, talk to the bear on the counter and accept the tuna quest. The cat is actually behind the pots/barrels on the right-hand side inside the Bear’s restaurant, but you can’t get it out currently. Go outside and move straight to trees side. Get on the boat and in the next scene, talk to the blue bird near the tree. Talk to Johnny on the same scene, sleeping near the tree. Borrow his fishing rod. He would not wake up, so just tap the fishing rod behind him and borrow it. Then go to the shore where the (!) symbol is showing up. Start fishing.
Keep fishing until you get “Fish Cake Fish”.
Return the rod and talk to the bird again. Trade the fish cake fish with tuna. Hop on to the boat and return to Bear’s restaurant. Don’t forget to look around for game cartridges (Fishing Paradiso). Hand over the tuna and let the bear cook for you. When you are about to eat, the cat pops out from behind the barrels to the table.
Go outside and talk to the cat again. Don’t forget to look around for game cartridge (Bear’s Restaurant) in the same scene. Next, you will be heading to the apartment roof. Interact with the cat again and go through its inner thoughts. After this, you head to the Bear’s Restaurant again to celebrate the cat’s birthday. Talk to the guy on the stairs and ask if he has found the despair shard yet. Go outside and talk to the cat. At the end of the scene, the cat will poop the despair shard.
Next scene you are back in the apartment room and text Kelly and wish her Happy Birthday.
