Dreadfin Apex Hunt

The Dreadfin is one of the most challenging Apex fish you can encounter in Fisch. Known for its extreme rarity and aggressive behavior, this fish is not something you casually catch — it requires patience, the right setup, and a bit of luck. Unlike regular fish, the Dreadfin appears as part of a global hunt and behaves very differently once hooked. If you’re aiming to catch it, understanding its mechanics and conditions is essential.

Fisch Dreadfin Location, Bait, and How to Catch

  • Basic Information
    • Rarity: Apex
    • Location: The Ocean
    • Preferred Bait: Shark Head
    • Time: Night
    • Weather: Foggy
    • Season: None
  • Catch Difficulty
    • Applies a massive -93% progress speed penalty while reeling.
    • Moves erratically across the control bar, making it hard to stabilize.
    • The control bar turns black during the catch.
  • This combination makes the Dreadfin one of the hardest fish to successfully reel in, even for experienced players.
  • Hunt Mechanics
    • Spawns as a global fish hunt with a shared stock of 2,000.
    • Does not spawn in the same location across all servers.
  • When hooked:
    • A common exclamation mark appears above your character.
    • A roar sound effect plays, similar to other Apex fish.
  • You’ll need to actively search different areas of the ocean, as its spawn location varies between servers.

Important Notes

  • Does not count toward bestiary completion, like all Apex fish.
  • On the Fish Radar, its hunt pool appears with gray abundance.

This means the Dreadfin is purely a challenge and reward-based catch rather than a completion requirement.
