In this post, I have shared a beginner’s guide for Nanali Studios’s mobile game, Tiny Cafe.
Tiny Cafe: The Basics
Tiny Cafe is an idle simulation cooking game where you get to build and spread your very own empire all across the world. You will start from the bottom with a small cafe shop and gradually open branches all across the globe and make loads of money. The gameplay is straightforward – open the branch, buy tools to make coffee, donuts, cakes, ice creams, and burgers, and hire the workers to operate these tools and make money by selling them to the visitors.
How To Get Hearts
To open the new branches, you must accumulate a certain number of hearts. The best way to earn hearts in the Tiny Cafe game is by completing the missions (missions are displayed at the top center – complete them to earn special rewards and hearts). Another way to obtain hearts is by upgrading the facilities such as espresso machine, donut oven, water dispenser, milk crane, etc. Upgrading these facilities or tools also increases your income. To upgrade the facilities, you need coins. You can earn coins by selling items to the customers. Save and upgrade the facilities. Tap the heart icon in the top-left corner to see how many hearts you have accumulated. In addition to branches, you unlock new content as well, by collecting the hearts.
Premium Currencies
Cash and Gem are two premium currencies you need to shop for premium items or obtain manager cards or improve roasting chance/odds. You can earn cash and gems by completing the missions, leveling, watching the video ads, catbook/cat friend stories, attendance rewards, and events.
Managers Guide
You can deploy managers to each unlocked branch. Managers have active and passive skills. Active skills must be used manually and have a cooldown. The effect of passive skills triggers the moment you unlock it (the manager must be deployed).
- How to get managers
- You can get the managers from the gacha. Tap the gacha button in the top-right corner, then spend cash or gems to purchase the manager cards.
- How to level up managers
- You need duplicate manager cards to level up the managers. Tap the phone button in the lower-right corner -> managers -> select a manager card -> if you have duplicate cards(acquire from gacha), you can upgrade it.
As you level up the manager card, the active skill’s effect improves, and at certain levels, you unlock a new passive skill. To deploy a manager, tap the phone in the lower-right corner -> managers -> deploy -> select a new slot or busy slot -> choose a manager card. All managers have unique skills – read the skill details and select the card depending on your requirements. Some managers improve the tools’ speed while some increase sales or grant chests. So please read the managers’ active and passive skills before deploying them. To use the active skill of a manager, tap the deployed manager -> tap its skill icon. The skill will last for a few minutes. Don’t forget to use it again once its CD resets.
Beans & Drip Coffee Set
You can manually make coffee and earn coins by selling it. The better the beans or bean card, the more money you make. Tap the coffee pot near the shop counter -> select a bean card using the navigation keys(<>) -> select the bean card with a better price -> tap the kettle icon and make the coffee -> tap the coffee cup to sell the coffee for coins.
You can get better bean cards by roasting. Go to the Roastery from the world map. Spend the Roastery Entry Ticket -> 60% chance of obtaining a one-star card, 30% for a two-star card, and 10% chance for a three-star card. Once the results are out, you can choose to accept the beans by tapping the get button or roast again (take a look at the chance/odds – only roast if you have better odds; otherwise, you will get a bad card – also, you can spend the cash to improve the odds. The cash is premium currency – so spend wisely).
Tiny Cafe Tips For Beginners
- Complete the missions to earn hearts and special rewards (the best way to progress in the game)
- Upgrade the facilities/tools to increase sales
- Deploy managers and use their skills to improve sales or efficiency
- Collect attendance reward daily(calendar icon on the top-left) – on the streak; you get a special reward
- Spend cash and gems wisely
- Participate in the event missions for the extra rewards (the event icon is displayed in the top-left)
- Watch the video ads to get free rewards (you also obtain ad points, which you can spend in the shop for cash, gacha tickets, time skip tickets)
- Go to the game’s shop menu -> item -> claim daily gift every day
- Check the CatBook -> stories reward free cash
- Don’t forget to collect the tip jar reward once it’s full
- Click the pictures to get extra rewards (a camera icon appears over workers’ heads -> tap it -> click a picture and get the reward)
- Open new branches, but don’t forget to fully upgrade or max out the previous branch’s facilities for the highest medal
